Located in Cervantes Village

The Family Resource Center (FRC) was established in December of 2001 to meet the needs of student families attending New Mexico State University (NMSU) and Dona Ana Community College (DACC). The FRC is a joint project between the NMSU Housing Department and the Departments of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) and Extension Home Economics (EHE).

The NMSU Family Resource Center is funded through the NMSU Student Family Housing, and Associated Students of New Mexico State University (ASNMSU). Student Housing provides the facility and utilities. ASNMSU funds are used primarily for personnel to staff the center. There are currently Marriage and Family Therapy graduate assistants, and Family and Child Science undergraduate student interns that staff the FRC. The FCS and EHE Departments oversee the management of the FRC, provides staff support, and supplies materials for programs.
